Ben’s Original Rice products, which include Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice varieties, have been recalled due to the presence of small stones within the rice. These stones pose a risk of injury to teeth, the mouth, or the digestive system.
These items were distributed at HEB, Target, Amazon, Piggly Wiggly, and various other supermarkets. They carry a best-by date of August 2026. The batch codes are printed on the bottom seal at the back of the package and are as follows:
– Ben’s Original Ready Rice Long Grain White Rice: batch codes 533ELGRV22 and 534ALGRV22.
– Ben’s Original Ready Rice Whole Grain Brown Rice: batch codes 534AMGRV22, 534BMGRV22, and 534DMGRV22.
– Ben’s Original Ready Rice Long Grain & Wild Rice: batch codes 533BMGRV22, 533CLGRV22, and 533CMGRV22.
To date, no injuries associated with the stones have been reported.
